Great Start!
Our school year got off to a wonderful start last week. Thank you to the many parents who pitched in to help out with a variety of opening tasks.
PTA Meeting - Thursday
Our first PTA meeting of the year will be held this Thursday. We will meet in the lunchroom at 7:00 p.m. with childcare provided in the gym. The meetings last one hour. We have a little fun in store for the first meeting so I hope you will plan to be here.
Kindergarten Parent Meeting
If you have a child in kindergarten here I hope you will plan to attend a meeting with the teachers on Monday, September 17th at 3:30 p.m. We want to discuss a number of things about the upcoming year including a volunteer schedule.
Bon Marche' Assembly
The Bon Marche' has been our PIPE partner for a number of years. They support our school in a variety of ways which you will be hearing about as the year progresses. This year they have a suprise in store for all of our children and it will be revealed at a 2:30 assembly in Thursday, September 26th. Please join us if you are free.
Open House/Ice Cream Social
Our annual Open House and Ice Cream Social will be held on Thursday evening, October 3rd. Details will be coming home soon, but mark your calendar now.
Popcorn/Pepperoni
Every Wednesday, beginning tomorrow, our school sells pepperoni at lunch time. The cost is $.50. Proceeds benefit a variety of school program. Also, every Friday, beginning this week, our PTA sells popcorn. The cost is $.35 cents per bag.
Help Wanted
If you would like to have a fun job (with pay!) for one hour every day, please give me a call. I'm looking for a person to help supervise the children in our lunchroom from 11:45 - 12:45. My number is 281-6230.
Visitors
For security reasons we ask that all visitors stop by the office to pick up a visitors pass (kindergarten volunteers can get their pass in the kindergarten rooms). We want to be sure that no adults are on our campus without a reason for being here. Thanks for your cooperation.
Lunch Tickets
You may buy lunch cards in advance so that your child does not have to carry money to school everyday. A lunch cards for ten reduced price meals is $4.00, for regular priced lunch the cost is $12.50. You can purchase tickets for 20 lunches for $8.00/$25.00.

Saturday, September 14th, 2:00 p.m. Thumbodies on Safari
Saturday, October 5th, 2:00 p.m. Make a book with Zoe Cherokee
Wednesday, October 9th, 2:00 p.m. Introduction to the Orchestra
Saturday, October 26th, 2:00 p.m. Pumpkin painting
Beginning September 18th, every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. will be Family Story Time.
