Parent Bulletin
October 14, 1999

Dear Parents,

Tonight is OPEN HOUSE! I hope everyone will have an opportunity to see their child's classroom, listen to curriculum presentations and have lot's of ice cream. Ms. Napolitan will have a book sale in the library and our PTSA will have plenty of baked items for sale.

I want to acknowledge the Bon Marche' (our PIPE partner) for their tremendous support. Today they awarded our teachers with certificates for classroom supplies/programs.

We want to encourage parents to continue to read with their children on a nightly basis. Research shows that 10 - 15 minutes of reading nightly, can increase a student's reading ability by 20% over a school year.

Thank you to Christy Broten for helping with Picture Day on Tuesday. If your child missed having their picture taken, Lifetouch is scheduled to be here on November 16th for retakes. As always, we appreciate the help of all our volunteers.

Sincerely,
Barry S. Dorsey
Principal
