Parent Bulletin
April 2, 1998

Dear Parents,
Many of you are aware of the recent and unexpected death of Mrs. Macri- Drum's son, Tony Broome, and have offered encouragement and sympathy to her and her family. Our kindergarten children, teachers and staff are doing remarkably well considering the impact of this tragedy. In the face of adversity, this school community has had its fair share this year. If you or your child would like to send a card to Mrs. Macri-Drum you can send it to the office and we will forward it for you.
For those of you wishing to make a memorial donation the following organizations were chosen by the Broome/Macri-Drum families:
     Thomason Hospital Spinal Cord Society
     Attn: Trauma Dept. N.W. Chapter
     4815 Alameda Avenue P.O. Box 1542
El Paso, TX 79905 Lynnwood, WA 98036

We are grateful for your support and words of encouragement to her family, friends, and colleagues.

Next week, the PTSA board will meet on Monday and a general PTSA meeting will be held on Thursday evening. You are encouraged to attend. Childcare will be provided.

There will be no banking next Wednesday, April 8th, because of the Instrumental Music Concert (see the back of this parent bulletin for more information).

Dismissal on Friday, April 10, will start the Seattle School's Spring Break! Hooray!! Think sun!!! Children (and staff) will be back at the old grind on Monday, April 20th.

From April 20th through May 8th the children will be expected to take State and District mandated tests. Please have your child/ren in school, on time, and ready for testing. They should have a plenty of sleep and have had a nourishing breakfast. With your help and support the children will be successful.

I'd like to welcome Ed Balarezo, another retired elementary principal, who will be on board after Spring Break. I have enjoyed my stay here. You have wonderful children and I will miss them!

Sincerely,
Lynn Fuller
Acting Principal
