Parent Bulletin
September 24, 1998

Reminder

It is the policy of Arbor Heights that any student wishing to take a school bus home with another student after school must make these plans in advance. We must have a note sent to the office from both families by 9:30 a.m. on the morning of the visit. This note must have the following information: Child s name, Date of visit, Bus #, Bus stop address and a statement giving permission for the visit with parent/guardian signature. Students without both notes will not be allowed on the school bus.

Please remember to call the office (933-5350) if your child will be absent or late to school. We have voice mail so you do not need to wait until after 7:30 a.m. to call. The Washington State Truancy Laws are strictly enforced with the Seattle School District and we must make adult contact for each absence.

Campfire

Experience the fun of Campfire Boys and Girls. We re making a positive difference in the lives of young people. Come to a parent information and group registration meeting at Gatewood Elementary School (4320 S.W. Myrtle) on Wednesday, September 30th or Wednesday, October 7th at 7:00 in the cafeteria and be part of the fun!! Diane Parr

Information Night

Our 3rd and last Parent Information Night is next Tuesday, September 29th. The meeting will address the New Report Cards, Changes in District Testing and Exit Procedures and Standards.

Calendar

Your student will be bringing home the 1998/99 Arbor Heights School Calendar today. Please make a note of important dates (Open House, Picture Day, etc). We hope this helps you make your plans for the year.

PTA Information

In order to save paper and risk information not getting home we will be sending all Parent Correspondence home on Thursdays. PTA information will always be on the back side of the Principal s Parent Bulletin. Be sure to turn this page over to see this week's communication sheet.

Sincerely,
Barry Dorsey
Principal
